Don’t skip these 5 steps when transitioning your skin into Spring!

Having spent the majority of our cold winter days in isolation, we are all feeling eager to enter into a new season of change. Now is the opportunity to shed our winter cocoon, transition away from our winter skincare ritual and focus on our spring GLOW! We’ve got you covered for transitioning your skin into spring and the warm weather that accompanies it here in Australia!

#1 Spring Clean - EVERYWHERE!

There’s something about the arrival of spring that brings a desire to strip back a layer… We believe the best way is by spring cleaning! In your house, your wardrobe and most importantly in your bathroom cabinet. Sort through all your skincare and makeup products and take away any products that you no longer use to make way for new. Also, don’t forget to clean or replace your makeup brushes / sponges. They can start to hold dirt and bacteria in them so it’s important to replace these to keep your skin clean and minimise build-up in your pores / break-outs.

#2 Deeply clean your skin

As the temperatures rise, our exercise rituals tend to get a little more sweaty! This is amazing for eliminating toxins from the body and improving circulation, but if we don’t deeply cleanse our skin soon after exercising, dirt and excess oils can clog our pores; creating havoc on our skin. For a fresh and invigorating morning cleanser that deeply cleanses, the Purifying Gel Cleanser is perfect! It hydrates your skin while removing excess oil and environmental pollution. For your evening cleanse, our Radiance Cream Cleanser is a nice and rich cleanser that gently cleanses and is a great makeup remover. For a deeper clean, we love removing the cleansers with a 100% organic cotton muslin cloth.

#3 - Buff away your winter skin

Face, legs, arms - all over! If you’ve been suffering from dry skin throughout winter, your body is likely to have a layer of dead skin, so now is the time to exfoliate your body with an exfoliating mitt or dry body brush… Don’t forget to give your renewed skin a hydration boost with the Wild Kakadu Hand & Body Cream straight after!

#4 - Gently exfoliate and renew your face

Just like our body, our face may need to shed its winter build-up too! The colder months can leave our skin feeling dull and lacking lustre and glow. We suggest gently exfoliating your skin 2 times a week with the Refining Face Polish. This polish combines AHA rich Lilly Pilly and gentle fruit acids, with Kaolin clay and soft eco-friendly Jojoba beads to dissolve the dull surface build up, draw out excess impurities and refine the skin to reveal a soft and luminous glow!

Tip: If you have acne-prone skin we suggest exfoliating with the Instant Glow Face Masque instead of Refining Face Polish.

#5 - Switch to a light moisturiser for day time

As temperatures start to increase, our natural oil production can too! Avoiding excess oils in the skin can be avoided by using a lighter moisturiser in the day time. Our antioxidant-rich Light Hydrating Moisturiser is a silky and light formula, perfect for day time. It leaves your skin balanced and radiant, plus it features Hyaluronic Acid for an amazing hydration boost too.

Tip: For dry skin types, we suggest choosing the Ultra Rich Moisturiser as it has the richer consistency and delivers an abundance of vitamins to firm the skin and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

We always recommend practicing safe sun protection and to include your serums in your daily ritual to give your skin the boost of intensive moisture, vitamins and antioxidants in a highly concentrated formula.
